Hi everybody, I'm starting a new little personal project, I will publish it in the wiki and on github and so on. How would you named this cinematic, am I correct If I speak of Cartesian CoreXY Crossed ?!?!? Have you already seen a project using this geometry and cinematic ? thank you very much in advance for your feedback and return of experience.by Alvon3DprinTor - Developers
Hi Martin, It is strongly dependent of what are your aims. If you want to develop some of your skills like CAD drawing / DIY / electronic / programming etc... => build a reprap of your choice If your aims is to "print" at once, make 3d printed part for artistic or technical project => buy something ready to use Remember that you always get what you pay for. with a 2000 $ plug and playby Alvon3DprinTor - General
Hi SupraGuy, very Interesting your experiment with screws. I don't like too much belt too, I find it is not enough mechanical. What is your maximum printing speed ? The only thing I find difficult with screws it is the alignment between the screw and the guide of the axes, I did bad experiment with my first homemade CNC. The axes were always hard on one side due to tightening due to misalignmby Alvon3DprinTor - Reprappers
Hi Trakyan, I fill it your survey in. As you may have readen in my first post I started with a CNC router. I also did it in plywood with drawer runner. It is motorized with big Nema 17 with belts. Take care to noise, vibrations and heat in your conception. Best Regards Alainby Alvon3DprinTor - General
Hi orbitalair, Nice project ! it is ideal to discover the world of 3D printing. The amount of 3d printed material is small and everything is based on standard material. I'm a bit surprised of the harshness of some comments. For sure it is not a plug and play super sexy 3D printer, but to start in 3D printing at low cost it is for sure one of the many good starting points. Of course I would nby Alvon3DprinTor - Developers
Hi everybody, First of all thank a lot for your feedbacks and interest. I had in mind since a few weeks to begin to publish gpl or with equivalent the concept, but I wanted to look before if somebody would eventually be interested in it. You have given me a first answer. If other are interested, please tell it, it is motivating. For publishing : - I wanted first to make a page on the reprapby Alvon3DprinTor - General
Hi Trakyan, Here are a few more details about the tray bed axes mechanism. I only show here the version 3. At the end it is very simple and very stable. Two tubes are fixed under the bed (theoretically parallel). The right one is guided by two rigid bearing "clamp". On this left clamp, the left bearing is firmly fixed, the right bearing is mounted on a flexible guide. When you insert the bed inby Alvon3DprinTor - General
Hi, I understand are you at the right distance when you make your first layer ? Do you overextrude a bit for the first layer & go slower ? (150%) To start a good print it is important that you press the material on the bed during the first layer and take the time for it. it helps a lot. According to me, with good adhesion condition and PLA you don't need a heated bed.by Alvon3DprinTor - Printing
Hi, personally I sweet a lot with bed adhesion questions. It looks like your magic plate is not magic as it should. My advice is the following : take a 1.5 mm thick aluminum plate, recover it with a constant layer of wood glue, let it dry until it is totally transparent. Then before printing, activate it with a isopropanol, it comes sticky. it is just perfect for print adhesion. Then afteby Alvon3DprinTor - Printing
Hi everybody, I would like to present you my project of reprap 3D printer. It is a revisit of other reprap, I'm working on it for 2 years, I am working on the third version. Main characteristics of my machine are : - tray bed (in the length of your wish 400 mm to 1000mm) - rack gear and pinion driving mounted on flexible guide system - based on common , easily accessible and long existenby Alvon3DprinTor - General
