how about a hacked (for a wayyyy more powerful beam) old tv without a screen? then you could instead just make the whole chamber vacuum and put your metal powder where the screen should have been.

Powder Printing and Selective Laser Sintering
how about a cheap laser? with expensive lasers you can just use a mirror, but with this thing im guessing you could strap a 20$ 1w diode and something to focus it (cheap on ebay) and use that for a sintering machine. this would take the speed limits off

theres no harm in getting ideas out there!
how bout Torsten or Viktor?
Torstens designs look like they are sound. It looks like he is putting alot of work into it.
Viktor if you have a blog i would be interested in it for way more than any delta robot ideas you have.

i never said scamming. i think the people are going to get exactly what they bought.
i just dont believe it is a complete working design, and i wont, until it is proven.
he seems legit, and actually pretty cool, its just... pretty sketchy too. not sketchy in the scamming way, but sketchy in the not all he claims way.
its just little things like that sentance. why would you say that or do th

"due to skeptics i removed them"
ok, thats just sketchy right there. if your idea was solid and worked then why dont you prove it to the skeptics and make them shut up instead of giving in?
THAT RIGHT THERE is proof if anything that it does NOT work.

James i think everyone is just asking for you to post a video of your machine printing something. Its not about flame wars or anything like that, its a valid question that you dont answer.
You keep posting all these instructional videos, but they are all crap if your machine dosnt print things. ALL WE WANT IS ONE (1) O N E. one.. video of your machine PRINTING PARTS.
then when someone eles ge

my concern isnt that it can print yet, i just want to make sure that im not getting scammed... asking to see his modle printing parts is a reasonable request for what he claims. If everything works out then i believe this is the best deal there is as far as reprap goes. I was stunned when i saw the prices and the picture, just gotta tie up loose ends.
I plan on printing out a delta bot and help

if you used this on a delta bot that is working as the base (opposed to working the extruder), wouldnt weight be a problem with future applications like sintering, or (for me) biological printing? I cant imagine TOO much weight on there, but with the acceleration and such added the idea seems a little sketchy compared to good ol hinges and such.

why not use clay to fill and smooth the printed part and spray something over the whole thing then sand it to prepare it for the mold?

excuse me if this is a dumb question, but what is the problem with using printed parts to make molds? what is stopping someone with a set of parts from making molds and getting this show on the road?

delta robot moves the platform, extruders rotate on a table. simple, efficient, precice bio printing!
this is the real deal. check out the things they are doing for bone grafts!! this tech is incredible. it makes me want to make carbon nanotube extruders and build androids. anyone down?

look at those extruders!!
i know everyones trying to step up their extruder game here, but it seems to be a little slow.
is this a software problem or a hardware problem? I dont see why we cant make some damn fine extruders.

so, when the software for this is done, will we all have a basic tutorial to follow for assembaling the delta robot that will fit it? Could we get a how to with a list of parts? or will the software be flexable and be able to change with various designs if you input the diferent dimensions?
