Thanks for your reply. So I'm not the only one with this problem. I noticed that te latest version of Skeinforge is over a year old, has the development stopped? Or is there hope that this will be fixed someday? Apart from this problem I like Skeinforge very much.by Niels - Skeinforge
Usely I like to use Skeiforge, but today I experimented a bit with Slic3r. I noticed a feature in Slic3r that I cannot find in Skeinforge. When there are two bridges in different directions, Slic3r will create different regions to fill in the bridges in the best direction for both of them. I tried to do the same with Skeinforge but it just takes the middle way for both. This also comes in hanby Niels - Skeinforge
Lowering the feedrate didn't work. I've replaced the sprinter firmware with marlin, and now everything seems to work fine. Anyway, thanks for your help!by Niels - RAMPS Electronics
The trim pods are the screwhead-like objects on the drivers? I've set those to different values, without result (only the rotation becomes less smooth). I have tried switching the stepper driver from the extruder (which works fine) to the Y axis. But with switched shields the results are the same: the Y axis only turns forward, and the extruder works fine. I think tomorrow I will try some diffeby Niels - RAMPS Electronics
Hi, I just started testing my RAMPS 1.4 with sprinter firmware using pronterface, and have encountered a problem. If I connect my stepper motors to the X,Y or Z connectors, I can turn them forwards with no problem. If I try turning them backwards however, they just give a little sound, and sometimes I can feel a very tiny motion. Using the extruder connectors, the same steppers will work withouby Niels - RAMPS Electronics
I've emailed the shop where I bought the parts, and they probably have the solution. I've bought the makerbot electronics, while I dont have the correct powersupply for that. The makerbot electronics need a 20-wire powersupply, while i'm using a laptop adapter with only a positive and negative wire. With some adjustments from this page I should be good to go. Problem seems to be solved. I appreby Niels - RepRap Host
Thanks for the replies! The electronics are from iprint3D in the Netherlands. So if I understand correctly, probably the wrong firmware is installed? In this page there is a description how to program it, but i'm using a usb to ttl cable (like this one), am I able to re-program it using that? I think it's the easiest way to solve it, or does somebody have another suggestion? Nielsby Niels - RepRap Host
Hello all, I'm trying to build my first mendel but I don't seem to get the electronics/software/firmware right. I've bought the electronics (3th gen) pre-programmed, and i'm using an usb->ttl cable. While following this page, I connect the motherboard to my pc (windows 7, 32bit) with a usb->ttl cable, and start the host program (tried the latest version and one from november last year). Same problem as Bergsprekken en Dex, I'm doing the first test at the testing page. When i'm trying the CommsDebug it says: comms: G-code: N0 T0 *26 dequeued and sent [0.000s/-1288097231900ms] I'm using a usb-ttl cable and don't have any other boards connected to the motherboard yet (I've also tried connecting everything, same problem) Does anyone know how to correct this? Thanxby Niels - Sanguino(lolu)
Hello, I'm from the Netherlands, Europe, and I'm interestend in one set (PTFE). Could you email me te costs for the parts and shipping? My email is Nielsvanrijn at hotmail dot com. Thanks, Nielsby Niels - For Sale
The step file is working perfectly here, no reports of broken links or anything. I don't know what you mean by "do some outputs", but I think the colors don't really matter as long as they are obviously different from each other?by Niels - General
Thank you very much for the link to the Step file roj20, it's perfect! And thank you too for the reply murd you guys are great -Nielsby Niels - General
Hello, I'm planning to make the Mendel in the near future. I've read about the whole process of making one, and the only problem for me seems to be the 3D printed parts. I don't want to make a RepStrap first or buy the parts, so my only option is trying to make them myself. A great help would be the assembly in a 3D program, so I can see if I can adjust some parts in order to make them more easby Niels - General
