For Sale
Someone should write a program that allows you to choose what type of machine, end-stops and boards and what type arduino you have in a check box style type list, then allow you to choose and compile the type of firmware you'd like for what ever OS your running and download it. Wouldn't that be something, that way everything is in one place constantly being updated. All done online, hopefully it

in repsnapper it seems as though...
- I can only go up on the z
- I can only go right on the y
- and can only move x to the back
well it moves smoothly anyhow, hehe. I think I missed something in the firmware.

Looks like the RAMPSv1.3 wiki page needs to be updated with information regarding 'working firmware' and which program works best with it. I'm still not able to connect to Repsnapper, I just click on connect to printer and the light on that button I click goes on for a few moments and then turns off, but the ramps light flashes in sequence and there is holding torque. Man, I'm lost on this one,

Thanks, I think that did the trick, I've got a flashing light and holding torque back again. When I open up RedSnapper click on connect printer the light on the "connect to printer" button goes on then goes off? Is this normal?

WTF? I'm not a programmer I have no idea what I'm doing here.

I've now updated the pin definitions in the pins.h file as prescribed on the RAMPSv1.3 wiki page. I don't know my next step?

RAMPS Electronics
I've got RAMPSv1.3 and I've got the Arduino IDE setup, I've downloaded the firmware I just don't know what I'm supposed to do now? Appearantly I have to upload this to my Arduino but I don't have any experience doing this, if anyone can help me with a walk-thru I'd appreciate it. I have a Prusa Mendel.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm not willing to follow it and destroy $200 worth of RAMPS electronics to just "Try it" ya know what I mean? If anybody actually owns a Prusa Mendel out there and has an ATX power supply hooked up to it can you please post a pic of the connections? I'm a total buffoon with electronics

I've got an ATX power supply for my Prusa Mendel build. Does anyone have any instructions on how to wire this up to RAMPS/motors etc? Any build pics out there? Any advice or links would be appreciated

Hi,
i'm new to the Rep Rap scene, just thought I'd put up some ideas that people may or may not have posted before about materials for extrusion.
Seems to me that readily available materials are a key factor in choosing a different type of extrusion material, has anyone ever attempted to use "Hot Glue Sticks" used primarily for a glue gun? Its cheap, and as far as I can tell the melting point

Controllers
Just snapped on the pla bushings on my prusa (first build) and noticed they are very hard to move. Anyone have any advice as to how to make them run smoothly on the rods? I'm using 5/16" rods. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know when the RAMPS pre-assembled complete kit will be available? I've emailed them with no replies so far.

I have a cnc machine, just wondering if anyone here has attached an extruder to an existing cnc? How'd you do it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I've worked with extruders before to some degree... Wouldn't the stock being fed into the extruder be efficient if it was say the size of a gluestick that you'd put into a gluegun? Just curious.

just want to say that this is such a great thing and I can't wait to start building my own machine.
Anybody want a case of beer in trade for parts? I'm in the Brampton local west Toronto.
Cheers!
