I'm currently using a PIC32 running pololu steppers running 80Mhz clock.
I might be a microchip fan but it rocks! USB and LAN on the same MCU.

Just dropping a good reference here for Cameil
I ordered stuff from mendel-parts.com a few times and no issues.....and I'll do it again.....hahahha
Communication is good
Shipping is good
product is good
he stocks what he sells so that's really good.
As you can all see from Cameil's post above he's getting a bit overworked.
Personally I think some of the folk here have no patience when it come

Hello fellow reprappers.......I wanted to share my solution to the heated bed.
I'm using a single 40x40mm TEC(thermoelectric modulde) attached to the bottom of the the aluminum table and I'm getting ~90oC temperature and its working great.
Heatup time is 5~10minutes.
To test the reliability I'm using them unregulated (no control), but will work nicely with a mosfet that can handle 6A startup

GF..........Thx.....I looked at that already..... I'm looking to properly use the AN595.
Everything so far is a bandaid that uses a table to determine the temp.
We should be using a calculation to determine the temp not a table with the AN595.
Anyone running AD595 using calculation to determine the temp?????

Can anyone help me figure out the latest FW changes needed to use the AN595.
commenting out use thermistor and un-commenting use thermocouple will not compile.
I have no issues using a thermistor, and all my searches in the forum are not resolving the problem so I would love to hear from someone using the ad595,
Thx

I suspect you don't have the configuration.h file in the firmware folder. When you open up the extruder.pde in the arduino IDE are you missing the configuration.h file tab
Out of the box the folder contains configuration.h.dist ..you need to remove the .dist
hope this helps

makerbot is the easiest solution. you'll have step by step instructions the whole way.
i originally got the tz setup and got a bad extruder controller so those are on the shelf for now.

Hi Rob
Yes the parts are printed on the SST1200es, I wasn't in a hurry so I printed them at 0.010" here and there because I wanted a perfect fit and finish so I didn't keep track. It's easy to use but has its qwirks. but for work I love it but I still have use for something cheaper to print personal stuff without cost getting out of hand and the reprap software is more advanced in some ways than
