Even though it sticks to it, won't warping be an issue?by MikeyK - Plastic Extruder Working Group
There was a BOM list somewhere...dunno what that means but something to do with ...lulzbot...or something, it seemed to have a good list. But here goes my suggestion.. - Basic frame. (Nuts and bolts set) - Prusa plastic set with linear bearing pieces (I just built this PLA bushing thingie and i regret not having the linear bearing set, and buy GOOD plastics, nophead makes excellent stuff, sellsby MikeyK - Reprappers
Trying to put my prusa together, and now that I have it almost done...well..I have wades extruder and would like to see how to fit the arcols hotend.. Anybody with videos/pictures with it?by MikeyK - General
Ah =) There was an instructions manual. Sorry, did not notice it! Forget my post thenby MikeyK - General
Thanks! My build is "almost" complete, mechanics have been nearly assembled and I have basically followed your guide. I know the extruders are a completely different topic, but you seem to have wade's extruder in the guide and was wondering if there could be some part that would handle that too? The extruder build itself is a simple task, but for example there could be a part that would tellby MikeyK - General
It has been a problem to heat the whole object without a heating chamber. What about infrared heat lamp etc? Placed on both sides one should be able to focus the heat coming from the lamp just right so that there would be no warping..? Possible yes, but worth trying?by MikeyK - General
Thank you allby MikeyK - General
At this point its kinda frustrating to see that you have to take this build apart..is this an error in my build or in the manual? Are my plastics somehow different or...? (Nopheads plastics) See picture, the belt will not be quite at right place:by MikeyK - General
THis for example: And costs as a full kit, 10€... Basic thermistor...20 cents?by MikeyK - Controllers
Ah, ok, whats the deal with the PCBs then They seem to contain at least a capacitor..?by MikeyK - Controllers
Hello! I see these PCBs sold everywhere that you attach to ramps 1.3, but so far I have not found schematics of that little circuitboard, anybody know what other components are needed to attach thermistor to ramps? Thermistor is 200k. The question is not about the price, PCB costs about 1€, just that I forgot to order that PCB and shipping takes forever Anybody with schema and component lisby MikeyK - Controllers
I am wondering here that is the bottom plate size important? It seems to me that the size could be a bit bigger, or is it just a weight thing? Also in my opinion, the bottom slide rods should be placed wider -> more accurate movement? and to improve rigidity in the middle, there should be one threaded rod more between those sliding rods, just below/beside the belt that moves the bed.
