Hello, I'm looking for a buyer for the remaining products after closing down my fablab. The products are still brand new, never used, sometimes never unpacked. For the above reason I cannot give other information than the official product documentation does on the seller's site. I can ship worldwide from France. Transaction will be done by wirebank transfer. I can provide an invoice. Make an oby corngolem - For Sale
Hello, on my machine, which is an Ultimaker clone, the extruder motor is connect to the mother board by a 20 pins ribbon cable. The problem is that, apparently, due to the many movements of the print head, the wire(s) manage to break inside the insulation and the result is momentarily localized underextrusion and thus holes in parts. Are there wear resistant ribbon cables ? if not what solution dby corngolem - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
It means that you design a stick or a roll and your print it with your 3D printer ! and then you use the filament you just printed to print something ! ... such as the filament you just used ! hahahaha POOOOOOOOM Crazy idea, I just had to share it. The only use I see is to make filament of another diameter, but of course it's simpler and faster to use an appropriated nozzle for that.by corngolem - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
(Few days ago I sent a G+ message to all owners of the community about the issue - no reply, no change.) Today I see that one of the owners mentions the reprap.org G+ community. I already knew about it and I'm pretty sure that last time I check it had 1 owner and 0 moderators. Now it has 1 owner and 15 moderators (while 3D Printing only has 6 owners, 4 moderators and 1 hidden yet it has 50 timeby corngolem - General
So that Josef Prusa is nobody here ? and nobody of that G+ community is a member here ? If indeed there is absolutely no link between both sites those in charge will make it clear. I don't know the who's who of 3D printing/reprap, how could I. Again I'm just posting here hoping that it will trigger something and fix my issue, cause the way G+ works I don't have many solutions to get back in.by corngolem - General
I assumed that some of the big names or reprap must have been behind that G+ community. There's a Josef Prusa and you said Viktor, there's a Vik Olliver. In any case, this is the only place I could think of to alert someone and have the issue resolved. I confused filabot and filastruder at time of writing, fixed it now.by corngolem - General
Hi all, do you know the popular Google+ community 3D Printing ? It's oriented mainly toward repraps and is probably managed by the same people as is reprap.org, that's why I'm posting here. I've been participating in that community for a couple of months now until mid june when I realized I couldn't comment anymore neither join the community, meaning I had been banned, not just removed. Ok this explains it. (I assume you meant 747 not 947)by corngolem - Polymer Working Group
I bought PLA (ingeo 4032D) and ABS (polylac PA-747) (in 1,75mm and 3mm in white and grey) from reprap.me Good: • one of the cheapest supplier in Europe • 0,05mm diameter variation for the 3mm PLA Bad: • spool holes are too small for both Replicators and Ultimakers • PLA does not stick to 3M's blue painters' tape 2090 • unknown melting temperature, 210°C works but bridges sag a lot • creates darby corngolem - Polymer Working Group
I was just curious why this particular brand of ABS was chosen by who ever started "it". From my early research polylac would happen to be a cheap low quality ABS and higher quality ones could give better results.by corngolem - Polymer Working Group
I don't know yet how to tell the difference without asking a laboratory for analysis. But if you ask your seller (that's what I did) he will either tell you what it is, or not tell you what it is or tell you he doesn't know.by corngolem - Polymer Working Group

How ?by corngolem - Polymer Working Group
I received a mail on saturday 27th of April saying I will get a reply by monday but it didn't happen. I got another email saying they will respond shortly - didn't happen either. Either they are encountering huge difficulties or they are greatly incompetent but nothing excuses lack of communication. In any case I'm not risking my money with them, too bad cause they have some of the lowest priceby corngolem - Wanted
Hi, I ordered something from reprapcentral.com on the 23th, I sent 2 other emails regarding my invoice (shipping fees and taxes need to be calculated) but still haven't received any reply, they don't even have a phone number. Are they serious or what ?by corngolem - Wanted
This chart compares the price of Taulman 618 nylon and laywoo D3 filaments rolls as well as taxes and shipping fees for 17 stores over the world. I’m not doing it for ABS or PLA because there are too many resellers.by corngolem - Polymer Working Group
Thx for the info meerdog. Have you succeeded in making your own wooden filament ? (or anyone) About getting CA from China, I'm sure they will send you small quantity because that's how they can start doing business with foreigners. Are you sure about the +2% CA rule ? I would think the % depends on the polymer/wood ratio. More wood means more CA.by corngolem - Polymer Working Group

No need, and stop hijacking the thread will you.by corngolem - Wanted
For some reason I was not notified of the new messages, and I don't know what this ping is supposed to do. jebba, I did get a reply from lulzbot (since first post), just very, very late, same for makerbot. It's nice to see that you care about the issue but don't flood the thread...by corngolem - Wanted
I've read "Make Ultimate Guide to 3D Printing" so I have an idea of what's available, but it doesn't tell me if it's suited for intensive use. $2,000.00 MAX & responsive manufacturer support > I sent an email to 17 manufacturers and those who didn't reply had the most expensive printers (3Dtouch,, lulzbot AO-100, Replicator 2), go figure. fast & quiet > a good number of printer dby corngolem - Wanted
Hello, I need a machine to print 3D objects for many people with different needs. Basically a single person will be operating the printer which would be printing all day and all week. The requirements are: • cheap raw material • 1500€ / $2000 max • fast • quiet • reliable on printing/software/hardware • responsive manufacturer support • desktop/portable • support different type of raw materialsby corngolem - Wanted
