Ohh yeah, i have made a mistake, i was talking about the 5A port lol. But where should i check the power of the LCD then? It is only connected by the adapted and flat cables. OBS: It used to work before fine, once i have reassigned the ramps/mega into a full closure i has stopped workingby hapo1313 - RAMPS Electronics
Thanks for the reply! The thing is that i use an external power source and the only thing connected to the 5V port on the Ramps is the power source itself and the extruder fan. What else might be the problem? I have just changed the flat cables to new ones, but problem persists also, so i am starting to think its not a cable problem too. OH and my LCD is the one from 2004. Hey gize, so when i turn on the power source the LCD lights up but it does not show any control or option, is a blank light. But when i connect on the USB port of the PC, the Menu appears and starts working normally. What might be the problem? Thanksby hapo1313 - RAMPS Electronics
Hey All, I have bought a 3d printer and i used to use it pretty well. By accident i have erased the whole firmware (Thanks Raspberry port), i had to send it back to the seller to get the firmware back again. It has arrived and everything works fine, except the auto leveling. Problem is: 1) When it first probes in the middle it get the first click and then it extrudes a little and then go to secby hapo1313 - Printing
Heya. I have got from the internet a model of a full enclosure for my Graber i3. But i need a few modifications which i cant make because i dont know how to use Sketch up . I was wondering if there is anybody here who can help me with the modelling? Its quite simple the modifications i need (Basically copy the holes in onde side and put it in the other side). If anyone could help. I cant attach tby hapo1313 - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
Heya, ive been reading about the first layer and tried to get it better but alone i cant seem to know which of those is right based on the onternet photos and descriptions. So, i will post 2 pictures ou cubes i have printed. Could you gize tell me which of those is the correct one? Or perhaps none lol The darker one was the last i printed, is it right? Should the nozzle be closer like the shinyby hapo1313 - Printing
Inthe stepper motor itself i dont. It does have a tension screw in the driver gear (which is attached to the extruder motor). I wont be at home until saturday. I will try by then to get the tension better to see if it works. Ps: changed nozzle and did not work, so not a clogging problem.by hapo1313 - Reprappers
The shaft and the gear turns (when it reachs the nozzle it just stop pushing, but they still rotate). I did a test with no nozzle and it works but it wont work with the nozzle only. I am thinking of a little probable jam? Like, so little that with my strenght it would go, but not with the extruder perhaps?I will try to acquire a new nozzle and/or clean the one i have to see if it works and i willby hapo1313 - Reprappers
1.75mm ABS filament. Temperature is around 230 C - 250 C It does melt the filament but it only goes through the nozzle with my hand pushingby hapo1313 - Reprappers
So, the extruder works on turning and it does push the filament throught the teflon tube until it reaches the hot end. In the hot end there are 2 parts, the entrance and the exit. The extruder can manage to make the filament enter the hotend entrance and it pushes until it gets to the last part of the hot end (Nozzle part), where it heats and then leave. The last part is where i am getting error.by hapo1313 - Reprappers
Oh damn, power supplies are so expensive in my country, but i guess thats what i have to do then. Thanks! Do you gize have any ideia on how to solve my other problem?by hapo1313 - Reprappers
Heya, thanks for the support. Im using a 12v 10 A power supply. I am using a 2mm diametrer flexible parallel wire for the heatbed to the controller and i use a 4mm diameter parallel cable on the power supply (non flexible). The voltage are Power supply: 12.38 v Controller: 12.38 V from power supply and 11.04 V from controller to heatbed Heatbed: 10.8 Vby hapo1313 - Reprappers
Hi gize, i am building my first 3d printer. Most of the parts are done and working, but i can figure it the last error i am encountering. So i have my filament extruder working and got the white teflon tube and 1.75mm ABS filament. The extruder works and it does pull the filament throught the tube until 3/4 of the hotend. The problem is, it does not go throught the last part of the hotend whereby hapo1313 - Reprappers
Hi gize, how you all doing? Im trying to build my first 3d printer and as i am on my final steps, im having a few issues that im not findind the answer. 1- home position: Every time i start a print or just click on home position on pronterface, (The Z goes fine, down until it hit the endstop and then stop) the X and Y goes until the end of the heat bed instead of stoping in the middle.
