QuoteMrAlvin QuoteGRAYWOLF Hi, I have been absent for ages (only back as rebuilding my i3) where can I purchase 1.4.4? Hi GRAYWOLF, so far you can get files and/or pcb and/or an assembled and tested shield from me. I will send you a PM via the message system, so you can get more information. Okay? Alvin Thank you sir.by GRAYWOLF - RAMPS Electronics

So after issueing G91 X0Y0Z0.1 F1 I get a a rotation of 450 degrees or 250 steps @ 1.8 degrees.by GRAYWOLF - Experimental and Hobby
This is my current loop, works better but travel is not as expected (stops at random locations.) if (digitalRead(39) == LOW) // A button { while (digitalRead(39) == LOW) delay(1); SendCommand(0x70, "G91 X0Y0Z1 F30"); }by GRAYWOLF - Experimental and Hobby
Debounce is supposed to be handled else whare Thanks for taking the time to look, Yes it doesn't make sense I was blindly sending random commands! thanks, will drop the F500 to F60 and try again, still trying to clock the nema so that I can fine tune some settings. I need it to three modes. Mode 1 - do a full 360 and stop. Mode 2 - When button pressed, make one step (1.8 degrees?) stop, firby GRAYWOLF - Experimental and Hobby
I'm working on a turntable project which uses an M5Stack to communicate with an arduino 328 grbl controller using this code. // Example for M5Stack StepMotor Module (I2C verison) // 2018/6/27 JimmyLai #include #include void setup() { // put your setup code here, to run once: M5.begin(); Wire.begin(); Serial.begin(115200); m5.Lcd.setTextColor(WHITE, BLACK); m5.Lcd.setTextSize(2);by GRAYWOLF - Experimental and Hobby
I'm not sure if anyone is aware of it but the M5Stack system has a module with x,y,z stepper motor control https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/M5Stack-New-Arrival-Stepmotor-Module-for-Arduino-ESP32-GRBL-12C-Step-Motor-MEGA328P-similar-as-12V/3226069_32889109142.html?spm=2114.12010615.8148356.67.11c127ae937cVd It uses a 328p programmed with GRBL. Does your printer not have tensioners, sound like its loose. if not, have you tried taking the belt off, pulling it tighter and refixing to the clamps? Any 6mm GT2 belt will work as long as it is long enough. As others have said, always buy longer then you need. BTW a bicycle puncture repair kit has everything you need to fix belts of turn them into closed loop belts.by GRAYWOLF - General

I have just had a thermal runaway accident on my hot air soldering station, this is very similar to what happened to my 3d printer last year (and shows that the station lacks protection) Is it possible to take the Thermal runaway protection from Ramps (both software and hardware) and add it to a soldering station? The hot airgun works in the same way as a 3d printers hotend but @220v. I'm justby GRAYWOLF - General

Have you tried building "Grovers dvd laser Engraver" ? It would get you running. I have a 1W Neje laser as a learning tool and after a bit of playing I can get it to engrave. Based on the neje, I am now building a bigger cutting area sized engraver.by GRAYWOLF - Laser Cutter Working Group
Yes, 123d design is abandoned, but it still works. I still use it on OSX as its simple to use.by GRAYWOLF - General
QuoteLoboCNC From what I understand of automatic bed leveling, the out-of-levelness is compensated for by converting the simple X-Y motions for each layer into X-Y-Z motions. However, it seems like constantly moving the Z axis up and down will invite all sorts of surface irregularities, especially if the Z axis has even the slighted hint of backlash. Given that most out-of-levelness is only on tby GRAYWOLF - General
QuoteDjDemonD Tried and tested I'd agree with others who have commented before no fire safety system should be running off the microcontroller which could be in a fault state when you need it to work. I am working on adding a smoke detector that has a single pole double throw relay contact. I also have a machanical endstop without the microswitch with which I can connect the smoke detectors relay to. My question is this - How would I connect the endstop to ramps 1.4 so that when triggered, ramps would send the same "Kill All" signal as it does with Thermal Runaway? Ahh, so If I use the OR, I need to invert the input in code but If I use Nor, I don't need to change code setting. Thanks, just need to work out how to make the PCB in Fritzing and how to order them.by GRAYWOLF - Reprappers
Quotedc42 I presume those work by interrupting the slotted opto switch when the carriage is at the limit, so the LED is normally on and goes off when the switch is triggered. Here are two ways of connecting two of those: 1. Connect the two outputs to the inputs of a 74HC02 nor-gate, then the output of the gate will go low if either switch is interrupted. Cheap Chinese optical endstops. I do belive that they could be following this schematic If I read this correct, could I just connect the sig of the 2nd to the ground of the first to get the series link? I am working on a corexy laser and don't trust my skills. I would like to connect 2 endstops to each of the min and max inputs on ramps Is it possible with current powered endstops or will I need to build my own unpowered endstops and connect them in series? Use Marlin but in the configuration.h (check please?) You need to select which screen you have by uncommenting the correct section. if you have the sd card, don't forget to set that as well.by GRAYWOLF - Prusa i3 and variants

QuoteMCcarman To try and be clearer, using RGN01s picture. If the X guide rods went straight through the Z carriage then his springs will push the Z carriage to the right and it could move on the rods. The belt tension will pull the other z carriage to the left. you probably get bowed "vertical" sides. QuoteMCcarman Make sure that the Z slide is locked to the X rails firmly. If not the tension in the belt will try and pull the Z guides together. I was hoping that the spring would compensate for that but I'm struggling to find spring suitable.by GRAYWOLF - Prusa i3 and variants
