Looks ok to me. I'm running Bedtemp@100, hotend@230 ABS slurry over Kapton. ABS benifits from a closed in enclosure for best resaults. I'm also using raft instead of brim but I must confess that I like the print around the edges. What settings are you using? I have a .4 nozzle @ 0.3 layer height, running at 40mm/sby GRAYWOLF - Printing
QuoteIMBoring25 If you're still running Marlin there should be one or more instances of #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT in Configuration.h. The matrix that follows will define steps per mm for X, Y, Z, and Extruder axes. Thanks alot dudeby GRAYWOLF - General
Ok I'm lost, I can't find the settings. are they in Configuration.h or a different file?by GRAYWOLF - General
Do you know about the "Wood" plugin for cura? http://wiki.ultimaker.com/CuraPlugin:_Woodby GRAYWOLF - General
This is the second post I have seen on forums about this clock. Are you the gentleman from Brass googles?by GRAYWOLF - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
Quoteo_lampe When I measured a test cube, I always got more than one size. Differing from eg. 19.678 to 20.123mm You´re saying 21mm. Period. That sounds unrealistic to me. You should use a caliper to measure. If there really is a constant 5% error in scale you only have to reduce the steps/mm in Marlin FW for x,y,z by 5% and you´re done. -Olaf Yup digital calipers, Ozznest kit really is that gby GRAYWOLF - General
Am I just trying to hard? I just ran the 20mm test cube test and it came out at 21mm. I'm running an Ooznest Prusa i3 and wondering how to calibrate the printer/cura to remove the +1mm overscale.by GRAYWOLF - General
Quotegmh39 Approximately the thickness of a sheet of paper. That depends on the size of the paper! General distance is that if a piece of paper is very lightly ripped between the bed and nozzle then thats the correct distance.by GRAYWOLF - General

Check you endstops are in the correct place and are not reading activated. Have you place the endstops in the correct locations?by GRAYWOLF - General
Is is possible to attach an electrical meter to the printer to read electricity used during print time?by GRAYWOLF - General
Is there a beginners guide to scratch building one with recommended parts for printing!by GRAYWOLF - General
Thread hijack, Which is the easiest kossel/delta to start with?by GRAYWOLF - General
Going to hijack this as I saw a vid of a rotory 5D metal printer and started thinking of your project. I wonder if anything on it could be translated to your design. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKnlmfuMSgoby GRAYWOLF - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
First rule of files NEVER back file, Always use the file in one direction and when you reach the end of the stroke, lift the file, and put the file back on the piece on the start of the file! After you have cleaned it up (and have the dreaded white dust everywhere then use something like the acetone vapour bath afterwards. DON"T use a Dremel, they are too fast and too aggressive on ABS. I dont think the setup would work. for humans band bikes you want the big stuff. googlr raspberry pi scanner for the big un!by GRAYWOLF - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
I have my home (set in cura) home to front left of the heat bed as you look at it, but the end stop is rear left.by GRAYWOLF - General
Quoterhmorrison 16014 SKF - Single row deep groove ball bearing 70mm inside x 110mm outside x 13mm width. Ball bearing 16014 Thanksby GRAYWOLF - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
Just a question as I'm scratching my head here. What is the bearing used on the turntable and what size is it?by GRAYWOLF - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
Have you checked the distance between the carriage and the underside of the heat bed? I just had a problem with the autolevel under adjusting because the bed screws had all come loose!by GRAYWOLF - General
I'm working on a lightsaber project and need some bits printed in black rubber (or what ever the rubbery material is) This is the Project. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:35120 What I need printed is Body3 and ribs. Is anyone set up to print these out and how much? BTW: Sorry but out of touch for the next weekby GRAYWOLF - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
Cool work there with that sword but one complaint, it needs to be scaled down and the real thing is not nearly so big. The hand guard is slightly bigger then the hand and the blade should be around 24-36" long. Don't let my negativity get you down as I am not able to make such a nice looking weapon.by GRAYWOLF - Look what I made!
Prusa i3 +silver ABS filament. Just printed out this part and was sanding it smooth and came across this I'm sure the white spots are abs dust from the sanding filling up tiny hole but it leads me to the question. Are the tiny hole the by product of printing?by GRAYWOLF - Printing
Glass bed with Kapton and ABS Juice, Bed temp 100, hotend 230. No problems here. (well excluding the fact that I cant measure!)by GRAYWOLF - General
I'm running an I3 on a mack book pro and apart from ribbing (thing my ship has disintegrated) I'm printing ABS on a glass heatbed covered in Kapton tape and ABS sludgeby GRAYWOLF - Printing
Can't answer that but on a Facebook post, for the ironman helmet the used sandpaper, polish and a lot of elbow grease to get it smooth.by GRAYWOLF - General
Looks like a bit of nozzel shift. What settings are you using because that print is far smoother then mine!by GRAYWOLF - Printing
Have you run the calibration tests? For me home is front left corner (left corner closest to me) as thats where the platform and head hit the endstops.by GRAYWOLF - General
Just to add another variable to this equation. Is the head secure in the extruder mount? My Hexagon was doing this until I put a shim in the mount to stop the movement.by GRAYWOLF - Printing
I'm lacking talent but is there a simple way to make a 9mm cog/gear shaped hole in an object? Sorry forgot to say that I have inventor fusion and 123d Design.by GRAYWOLF - Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
