I can't find anything explaining my problem anywhere. What software is best for noobs? Which is easiest? I can use either my windows 8.1 or my wife's macbook

oh woops i was saying 16u2. its actually a 32u2 chip. i dont know how to install firmware onto it. ive looked everywhere online on guides, but none that really show me. my avrisp mkii gets no target power when wired to the icsp for the mega2560. but it DOES get the green led for target power to light up when i wire it to the 32u2

i also have an avrasp v2.0, does ayone at least know a way i can completely bypass the 16u2?

all i had to do to finally have a working printer was to upload a new bootloader onto my rambo 1.2d. instead i accidentally plugged the avrisp mkii into the icsp pins connecting to the 32u2 chip for the usb. now my computer wont detect the board and my programmers red led just stays on indicating no target power. does anyone know how to reprogram/fix the 32u2 chip or know anyone i can work around

i got a prusa i3, a while back ago. i upgraded to a rambo 1.2d board since i counldnt get ramps 1.4 to work for me. only problem is, i had to upload a new bootloader to the mega25560 and with my avrisp mkii programmer i accidently jacked up the usb to serial chip! is there anyone that can help me program this? i got an extra mega r3 clone and i can put together a goodie bag of components for you

After 4 fried ramps 1.4 boards, I decided to shell out the extra cash and buy a Rambo 1.2d. I discovered I am one of the unlucky ones with a missing bootloader (expected no less with my luck) My avrisp mkII Will be in the mail tomorrow, but I'll be up all night and use this time to learn something new hopefully! Thanks JamesK, the problem was fixed when I went in marlin and defined disable max endstops. But now my motors aren't moving at all, endstops are not triggered, I tried both repetier and pronterface. They both show movement on the screen but my motors aren't budging, there's not even any noise coming from my ramps 1.4
