I've seen some other posts by owners of various sites, so I figured I'd throw out there that I am the owner of avrthing.com. I have stepsticks (A4988) and optoendstops for sale there. I also have around 20 sanguinololus that I never put up for sale because I only tested them recently. So I finally got a prusa mendel working. I'm using sanguinololu with stepsticks, marlin firmware, pronterface, and slic3r. I briefly used repetierhost which was very pretty, but I borked it somehow so I switched to pronterface. Anyway,I have been futzing with settings and my experience seems to be the opposite of what should happen. I calculated I should have about about 600 steps per mm of fby matsciguy - General

I finished building a prusa mendel from parts sourced from various people on ebay. I used gen6 electronics. I am having quite a bit of trouble now, trying to get it to do anything. The stock reprap host does not open if it is connected. I tried other hosts. So I installed pronterface, and it opens, but it won't connect to my reprap. My next step was to try reflashing the firmware so I downlby matsciguy - Controllers

Under no circumstances should anyone purchase something from james. I ordered and paid for a kit in march and have yet to receive anything. Even the cnc controllers and arduino would be something, but I have received nothing. I have requested a refund multiple times. James will no longer answer my emails. Hi everyone. Just throwing in my 2 cents, I ordered one of James' kits as well. It will be my first 3d printer but I've been using arduino/AVR and doing electronics and programming for years so I think it'll be ok. I will document the build process with photos and videos as much as possible as soon as it arrives and give everyone links.by matsciguy - For Sale
