Hey Bryan, I don't know if you've seen mixtape mendel... i think standardized spacing is great though. But i feel the real future is in fully parameterized modeling. Right now this constrains mixtape mendel to be developed in openscad, but it will allow for infinite hardward configs. Right now i think x rod spacing center to center is defined as a bushing diameter, 2 ziptie heights, the motor boby tesla893 - Developers

Ok, So far the prints are looking good. I sliced them both filled and unfilled, and the fill really doesn't exist too much, only around the mounting base, which is beneficial. Want to PM me your address so I can send them? As long as nothing goes wrong I will send you 18 (6 extra).by tesla893 - Wanted
I will give them a shot tomorrow. I'll try both filled and unfilled so you can be the judge on which to use. I am in the US, but I was looking to have people try my printed parts as I am looking to start selling PLA bushings and Prusa RP sets. Is it expensive to ship from New York to the UK?by tesla893 - Wanted
Manually check your G codes and see what the M104 or M109 argument is. They should probably be in the first 20 lines. I had the same issue when using repsnapper and it turned out the M109 was being set to 0 at the start of each print.by tesla893 - General

M109 is used to pause until the barrel reaches the specified temp. I use M109 right after my extruder goes over the purge hole. Then I extrude a little bit and start printing. It seems to make the first layer have a more consistent infill because PLA leaks out of the barrel as it heats up.by tesla893 - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

I am using ring terminals. I can't say much about reliability because I old have about 2 hours of printing on my Isaac. With the longest print coming in at around 20 minutes.by tesla893 - Reprappers
Hi, I went a similiar route. I have my Isaac working right now, but not printing yet. Once I get back from vacation I am going to put some documentation up and try and make it easier to get the Isaac up and going. The Issac is a great design, it is just not readily available and poorly documented. I am hoping I can change the documentation part.by tesla893 - Reprappers

I couldn't figure out how to comment on posterous, so I made this. BTW, I am in Hicksville, and live pretty close to the train station, but I don't think taking the train would work very well. I could probably drive, but if that is the case, my parents would make me go alone.by tesla893 - General

I think Vik mentioned this in IRC a few days ago, but polyethelene tubing for ice machines seems to be decently low friction. I bought three feet at Lowes today for $.16/foot. I can easily push filament through the whole length. It is 1/4" OD.by tesla893 - General New Machines Topics
