My Ormerod 2, 3 years old is for sale . It has been working well and I have made o lot of fine printings. Both the software (firmware 1.17 and latest webinterface) and the hardware-electronics works I have just tested everything though the web interface. The nozzle and other parts for the heated bed is new. But it needs new printed plastic parts I have changed some of them and I can print ouby lasse - For Sale
THANK YOU DC 42! Small things can do everything1 As I wrote before I have tried nearly eveything including changing parameters like S0 to S1 changing numeric values according to all instructions in different forums but nothing have helped my desoriented Ormerod printing outside of the bed, not capable of X-homing etc...That is until your advice to put a piece of white card on the X homing tab whby lasse - Ormerod
Hello. I have still not solved my problems whith the desorientation of my Ormerod and why its not capable of homing. But I have tried many things including generating g-files from the official Reprap-communityfrom this site : This was one of my hopes that everything should work again. So this is the reason why I start a new tread instead of my old one.. As you can see in the machine propertiesby lasse - Ormerod

Hej, Jag bor i Helsingborg och har en Ormerod 2 sedan 2015 som funkat bra ända tills jag gjorde en sk. Firmware uppdatering först Januari sen i mars.
Hello I am also interested in this kit if only my problems whith the orientation and homing lis solved! See the tread " My ormerod has lost its orientation" Lasseby lasse - Ormerod
I have now the parameters M558 P2 X1 Z1 and M574 X0 Y1 Z0 S1. Both are placed before the G31 Z1.5 P601 command. In the end of the config.g is the parameters M208 X196 Y205 Z185; and M208 X0 S1 commands. The maxima parameters suits my machine . I am a bit unsure about the minima because the X value in the webinterface changes after my attempts to home the machine , sometimes it shows X-175 atby lasse - Ormerod
Thanx Dave for the advice. I know the problem whith the revesring of the X motor rotation so I have put the M569 P0 S0 parameter in Config.g to make X move the right way. So if I move the head to the X=0 position and then give the command G1 X200 the head moves to the end of the X arm. And G1 X0 moves it back again. The problem is that my homeall command doesn t work. Hello! Trouble trouble.... I had this printer for 2 years whitout serious problems and have made many succesful printings but this year after the upgrade one poroblem is followed by another....I changed my homeall.g file back to the one I used on firmware 1.09 and now the printer finds its normal location starting in the middle of the bed. But still the printer goes knock ,knock knock against thby lasse - Ormerod
]Hello Erik (and others) I have just upgraded to firmware 1,17e via the webinterface no problems. Burt still the printer has problems whith the homing and the prints starts at the same weird position as before. Maybe the problem is my M208 command I see that you have no y value in the S1 row. What about the homall.g file? I am unsure if mine is ok. I will do some more changes in my configuratioby lasse - Ormerod
I have found the firmware 1.17e.bin now so i will try to install it via the webinterface if possible.by lasse - Ormerod
Yes the X and Y axes moves in the right direction. When I upgraded the firmware more than a month ago I only found firmware 1.17 and 1.17a on github. And now when i follow the link to Github I am redirected to some strange site called "404". So where can I get firmware 1.17e? I read somewhere that it was possible to update the firmware through the webinterface 1.14.How do I do that? I had reallby lasse - Ormerod
I hav recently successfully upgraded my Ormerod2 to V1.17a and Webinterface 1.14 . And with help of DC-42 graphical interface I have adjusted the bedheight so now its near prefect in - Y direction-height too.You can see my solution whith a adjustment scew in another thread about this problem. But making my first prints after this the printer has lost its orientation. When starting printing it bby lasse - Ormerod
I have seen some different solutions on this forum regarding to fix Y-axes twist ,a common Ormerod problem and they all seems to be good. Here is my solution: 1. First grind away about 1,5 mm of the inner edge of the Y-axes end plate on the non motor side. This to give a space between the Aluminium extrusion and the end plate. 2 Grind the upper hole for the screw between the aluminiumby lasse - Ormerod
Thanx DC42 and Eric (ormerod168) l for your constructions. I am going to make my Ormerod more exact and reliable, Eric(the user of our snus I was also using this earlier wonderful!!) can you show some me more pictures of bigfoot 2 ? My proximity sensor works properly according to the tests I have done including Z homing, reading values holding a piece of white paper close and more. My G31 input in config.g is G31 Z1.4 P585 and works. But I think I found out the problem, not only probing the bed, but printing good result for le last six months since I started to use my machine not only at home but in the technical scool wherby lasse - Ormerod
Now I have adjusted the IR probe height and set P2 , put in the M208 values for my printer, adjusted the heaters and location values for the M557 command so the last step before printing tests is controlling the bed level. Giving the M557 preceeded by G 29 S0 command returns " no girids defined" So I tried to check the trigger height as described in "Using mesh bed compensation" See quoted tby lasse - Ormerod
My Ir probe seems to work correctly now after changing the M558 value from P2 to P1 in config.g. Now only 1 heightvalue is returned instead of 2 totally different 1 in parentesis before. But still some things confuses me: 1: Homelocation for X is -76 decreasing the X- movments in the Webinterface moves the nozzle away from this location so in the opposite corner is X-226. Homelocation for Y isby lasse - Ormerod
Now I succesfully installed everything concerning the update 1.17a and it works fine . I realize you must have done a hard work to get everything to function DC42 ! I have successfylly auto tuned both the hot end and bed heaters. When tuning the hotend I got the warning that it was over powered so I guess its a good Idea to set the PWM value lower than 1.0 maybe 0.8.(?) when adding the M307 cby lasse - Ormerod
Ok thanx DC42 for your quick answer I will try this. Larsby lasse - Ormerod
I have done attempts to update to Firmware 1.17a in these steps. Step 1:I have succesfully made a flashupdate to Firmware 1.17a both flashing and veryfying was OK. But checking in device manage directly after the flashing it says: "Bossa program port (com24)" I expected it should show "Arudino Due(com24)" Step2: I replaced the folders gcodes, sys, www and macros in the SD-card whith the newby lasse - Ormerod

After changing the Duet usb-cable to another USB port i can now see Arudino Due on port 5 in device manager and both Arudino (version 1.8) and pronterface finds this port and gives correct returns on G-commands and other things. I have upgraded the support for Arudino Sam based boards to version 1.6.9 in board manager but its not possible to upgrade to later versions but that is maybe not necesby lasse - Ormerod
Hello! I am an Owner of an Ormerod 2 since some years ago. I have just downloaded the folder with the new firware from dc42 .
