Quotedc42 The other idea I had was to modify a nozzle to accept 2 or 3 filaments directly, perhaps by drilling it out and inserting a machined PTFE mixing block. Then the area shared by filaments would be hot and less susceptible to blockage. However, that would require the use of precision machine tools to make it, and I don't have access to those. The bottom one that connects to the hot end is a special one that has a slotted top like the Bowden starts mentioned above and an M5 external thread at the bottom like the Bowden end The inside of the threaded end of this is drilled out to 3mm toby SallyRepRap - Ormerod

It will produce finer prints, but it doesn't take proportionately longer. This is because the infill can be made relatively coarser and so happens almost as fast as for a coarser nozzle. There is very little impact on strength when doing this.by SallyRepRap - Ormerod

We are currently working on the development of the multi-material version of Ormerod. As it's in development, no definite ETA. Most parts are actually in place - the Duet has a daughter board to support extra extruders, the firmware is written, we're just playing around with how to mount it mechanically. See this recent blog post from Adrian: And this older post regarding the Duet and firmware:by SallyRepRap - Ormerod
