Yes Repetier looks like the thing thank you. Like the detail in the gcode visualiser, when I get the Pruusa built it will be interesting to see how the finished product compares.by Wired1 - 3D Design tools
Hi - nooby here so my appologies for the possibly dumb questions. I loaded up HeeksCad on Friday night and after a couple of hours I'm turning out some very nice models but I still have to then load them into another program to slice them for the Reprap and I'm wondering if there is a single program that will handle the design, slicing and uploading without using multiple packages. For slicing Iby Wired1 - 3D Design tools
Great forum but how about putting a brief description beside the software names instead of just the name - and maybe a sticky at the top of each sub-forum to say what the forum is about? I have so far learned that Slic3r and Skeinforge do the same task but have yet to discover what the other names refer to - are they all G-code generators? Is there any comparison between them in any of these sub-by Wired1 - Administration, Announcements, Policy
Yes it is a steep learning curve I am finding - and this forum is so messy it is hard to find the answers some times - but I am getting through it thanks to the help of members here thanks. I am sure the kits are the smartest way to go with the least mistakes but times are tough and money hard to get at the moment so I want to source it all myself and hopefully lower the build cost. I am sure I wby Wired1 - General
What about PrintrBoard? it seems to have some nice features like in-built SD card and stepper drivers?by Wired1 - Controllers
OK it is in the control centre under "Forum Settings" and change the NO option to YES where it says "Add my signature to this message" checked by default: NoYesby Wired1 - Sandbox
yeah I can't get mine to show either - any clues?by Wired1 - Sandbox
Yes thanks for the tour Gary, I'm impressed with the units you had there and it was good to see how they have evolved from your first model to the current ones.by Wired1 - General
Thanks Gary, how grunty does the power supply have to be? I've got a couple of old PC power supplies - one is 150W and the other I think is 300W.by Wired1 - General
Thanks, it looks like there is no BOM for this yet and that you can only buy it as a kit. I might just build a Prusa and then print the parts for it myself as they are available just none of the other detail. This printer interests me as it can handle multiple print heads simultaneously so would allow multi-colur and multi-product printing. Plus I like the way they have relocated the feeder mechaby Wired1 - General Mendel Topics
Thanks for the repiles - just what i was looking for thanks.by Wired1 - General
I know I'm a newby on this forum and I might be missing something here but I can't seem to find plans or bill of materials for a mendel prusa on this website. Surely there is someway to get this information other than by buying a kit? Any help for a noob would be appreciated thanks.by Wired1 - General
Howdy all, new member etc. I'm searching for a parts list and spec for a reprappro - I know it must be here somewhere but my searches are so far only finding people's blogs of kits they are buying. Being at the bottom of the world I want to buy the parts I have to buy and source the rest of them locally so I'm looking for a definitive parts list. Is there such a thing?by Wired1 - General Mendel Topics
