Well I was able to figure it out, kinda. It turned out that the Mega board was the problem. Once I swapped out the arduino clone, it started functioning correctly. Thanks for all the views. Is there a way to close this post? Scot

Y motor ticks after stopping - 11 months ago

Hi all, I think I am missing something simple here, I hope someone can help. I have put together a Bear Prusa clone, kinda. Anyway, I printed some parts and assembled it mostly like a Bear. It is using Ramps 1.4 and Drv8825 drivers. My issue is that the Y motor has some clunkiness sometimes, then the printer errors and has to reset. I don't know how much I can help, seems like the best answer is to go through the manual again and see if any of the pieces are duplicates or extras, or if you missed them. A look at the manual shows that pieces bottom row second from left are used to hold the bearings to the sled. There are 4 of them. The rod at the top looks like it could be any of the rods.
