Dust, you don't happen to know which part make / model the end stop micro switches are so you?by slippyr4 - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteDjDemonD Right now I'm being bombarded with filament for £10/roll from various UK suppliers so I guess market forces at work, the glut of excelvan had dried up but others are filling this niche with their budget filament options. The nice thing about excelvan was that it was pretty good, and it was branded. if you buy something with no brand you just don't know what you're getting.by slippyr4 - General
So what's the best budget PLA at the moment? I like primavalue but a) it's not that cheap (compared to excelvan) and b) it's quite limited in colours.by slippyr4 - General
I don't own a smoothi board yet (I'm probably going to use one in my next project) so I've been reading a lot of the documentation. Search eBay for "hictop mk3". Certainly in the U.K. there are a lot of results.by slippyr4 - Prusa i3 and variants

Fair enough. You need that mk42 for the x/y stuff. I'm less interested in that myself. Keep us posted on how you get on!by slippyr4 - Prusa i3 and variants
I'm goingtry and spurce the lot myself. I've got a 6mm alu frame on order, and two steppers with lead screws for Z. And a PSU, which won't fit but I will either modify the scad for the PSU cover or design my own. I think I'm going to put a smoothieboard in it instead of RAMPS or another ramps derivative like Rambo. Shame no one makes a bigger HBP, that's the less obvious bonus of the MK42 isby slippyr4 - Prusa i3 and variants
are you building a mk2 clone yourself then? i'm really toying with the idea. sounds like fun.by slippyr4 - Prusa i3 and variants
Would anyone with an i3 mk2 be kind enough to tell me the length of the lead screw on the Z steppers?by slippyr4 - Prusa i3 and variants
