Corner brackets

Clean the bars! They'll be your bearing surfaces later. You will need:

The tie bracket and 8mm bar act as spacers

Assembly rules:

- for each bar, one stub must be 20mm, the other end 28mm. - each block must have one 20mm stub and one 28mm stub.

Grub orientations face inside always (improves access later on)

Locate top layer with L70 8mm bars & a scrap length

Copy lower (previous) set, but

- ensure stub lengths are opposite to the one below . - start with the 20mm stubs as these only need the tie bracket to meaure the length. The opposite stub end lengths are already determined by the location pins.

What are locking nut pairs?

Here tighen but do not lock - this will be done later

Bolt up the pulley (nuts 1 & 2).

Grease the studding at the bit where the tie will rest.

Rest the tie on the studding at the bolt surface end. When tie is in place, you can put a loose tighten an M5x25 bolt through the tie to stop it moving away from the studding, which in turn keeps the bearing nut from dropping out.

Tighten pairs of nuts against each other. Ensure tie can rotate.

Bed corner installed at the other end:

Grease the top 50 mm of the studding & wind down the first nut to 32mm. Slide the bed corner down to fit onto the nut. Push the spring down the studding inside the ebd corner, and hold it in there with the second nut, which should be pushed in to be flush with the bed corner. Now wind the studding to catch the second nut. Continue winding until the be corner assembly is a good 10mm down the studding.
