Description

When 3D printing with multiple nozzles it is imperative to know the X,Y,Z offset of each nozzle, related to the 1st nozzle. Obtaining the correct offset by trial and error takes up a lot of time. Obtaining the offset while printing is not possible.

Method of solution

With this method an automatic calibration pad that touches the nozzle (or any other tool) in X, Y and Z direction has been made. It obtains the correct X, y and positions of each tool individually. The calibration pad is powered while the tools are connected to ground. By touch a signal is given to the processor and settings can be adjusted while printing.
