Composites

Once multi-material heads are fully developed and supported composite materials can be mixed to accommodate areas of a design that are subject to higher stress. Overlaying a mapping from finite element analysis could enable smarter utilization of more durable or creep resistant materials.

Plastic composites could include epoxies or even standard plastics doped with nanomaterials which alter their mechanical, thermal, chemical or electrical properties.
