The following will provide instructions as to how to use your RepRap as a way to draw the RAMPS motherboard with a 5th stepper motor motherboard.

There are a number of pages describing how to make boards with a RepRap already, e.g. Automated Circuitry Making, MakePCBInstructions, Plotting or PCB Milling. I'd suggest to not repeat this stuff here and integrate the RAMPS-specific part into the RAMPS page, or to rename this page to something less generic, like "5 axis extension for RAMPS". That said, I'm glad to see contributions made here. --Traumflug 09:42, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Required Materials

  • Copper Clad board (6.5" x 4.5")
  • Ferric Chloride Chemical Etchant
  • Permanent Marker
  • PCB Drill Bits
  • Acetone

Set-Up Instructions

1. Make the pen holder that attaches to the carriage of RepRap (see link)

2. Download the g-code version of the RAMPS motherboard. One has the typical 4 stepper motor model, the other is a 5 stepper motor model.
