SHAREBOT
Sharebot is a new project for the development of open source DIY technologies, sharebot born from the idea of having a machine (3D printer, router, etc..) in a box.
Sharebot Share-station is a "desktop" 3D printer, the initial design comes from the Thingomatic, but has suffered (and suffer) substantial changes. The light of the current print area is 100x100x100 mm, even if one of our priorities is to increase it in future versions, the movement X, Y, Z is via trapezoidal screw, which provide accurate positioning while sliding axis is assigned to linear preassembled guides, that make the installation easy and quick of the axes as a team, maintaining a very low friction. The structure of the printer is made of a composite of aluminum and PET (which is lightweight, stable and prepainted) and through particular milling process (engraves and cuts), create the various components of the 3D printer, which can be assembled with the same ease and rapidity that it would assembling a cardboard box, but creating a rigid structure that will become a 3D printer.
