First thoughts

I am still in the process where most of the ideas are not as far as bringing them into the wiki page. so there a lot more to come(CAD models, drawings, etc.) If you have any ideas that might help me develop this reprap i'd be happy to hear your thoughts. If you'd like to join the development team i'd be even happier('cos working in a team is awesome;), just let me know below. --Timber nasley 10:45, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

    • Well now i have ;) but my approach is a little different since i'll try to stick to designs like the Prusa and just replace as much as possible for plastic parts. Thx btw for showing me --Timber nasley 14:47, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi Timber, take a look also at Replicability -- Spiritdude 17:33, 7 September 2012 (UTC) PS: Emmanuel, thanks for the Snapdragon info, added it to my list

I have to say I am a little sceptical on the feasability but this might interesting. The new all in one printers (i.e. hp) have no smoothrods in the scanners. They use smooth plastic rails with gearing on one side. Perhaps the rack here on thingiverse is a start: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6011 Bitflusher 17:46, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

Thanks a lot guys for your links. Your collection of information and ideas is really great Spiritdude i like it very much. i think i can learn a lot there and adept some ideas to my construction. The gearing on the side might be usefull to replace belts(which i find very costly) and add to the printed volume of the printer. --Timber nasley 19:13, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
