printer inside luggage

Dear Topicawox,

The 3d-printer-inside-a-suitcase shown at "TeeBot A suitcase 3D printer!" looks pretty cool.

To me it looks *different* than any of the photos currently at TeeBot or TeeBotMax -- it looks like that printer-inside-a-suitcase uses the suitcase in two different ways: The suitcase does double-duty as both a case that contains and protects the printer during transportation, and also forms part of the structural frame of the printer during printing. Pretty clever.

Do you have any tips for fitting a 3D printer inside luggage? What are good ways of attaching the printer to the luggage (so the luggage forms part of the structural frame) without leaving sharp bits on the outside? How do I arrange each part of the printer so it allows the case to close, and doesn't hit other parts of the printer?

Should we start a completely new page about fitting a 3D printer inside luggage, or should we put that information on the TeeBot or TeeBotMax page? --DavidCary (talk) 20:22, 23 September 2015 (PDT)
