OhmEye's Introduction to 3D Printing and the Prusa Mendel

Whilst Adrian and Ed's video gives an excellent guide to the philosophy behind RepRap, the following video by OhmEye gives a more detailed guide for beginners on 3D printing with RepRap and the associated technicalities.

RepRap Instructional Videos

Throughout the documentation on this wiki there are a number of instructional videos. They are also gathered together here all in one place.

The video above is an introduction to the Mendel design
Video on the key mechanical concepts behind Mendel's axes
This video shows the runs of all the wires in RepRap Mendel
Video on splitting the timing belts that drive Mendel's axes
Video showing how to build on glass with a heated bed. This gives very good reliable results. It recommends that you clean the glass with nail varnish remover, which is fine. But check the ingredients list on the bottle. Some brands have a small quantity of lanolin or other oil dissolved in - they are useless as they leave a film of oil. Basically you want acetone, maybe a small amount of water, (plus - you'll usually find - a trace of bitrex, which stops people drinking the stuff).
Here's a video showing how to unload a print that has been made, and then set things up for a new one (including mildly amusing Adrian-confusion when the USB port lock has not been cleared). This is for a RepRap with an unheated bed
This video shows how to maintain flatness in a RepRap be that is heated. The blue tape on the tray is Scotch painter's masking tape 2090, which can be obtained at most hardware shops
This video shows how to tidy up parts post-reprapping
