3.1 - Might we expect the producers of current commercial systems to put some kind of additional DRM onto their systems?

2.1 - Okay, so it's hard or impossible. But how close might we try to get?

2.2 - I don't think he's saying we'll get rid of money, though that's a nice thought. It seems like there's something valuable about being able to make things with your own miniature factory, which didn't cost you >$30K

2.3 - Why would the community cease to grow just because basic operation got easier? Perhaps some ethnomethodology of reprappers is in order. What makes someone work on reprap? Why do some people try to push new boundaries within it? There's an entire maker culture which hasn't been studied well yet.
