Well, like or dislike The Register, the article therein is well put together. Indeed, one passage...

Not to mention that Dr Bowyer wants to see RepRap doing production-line work rather than prototyping, and even claims that RepRap is a green solution in that it removes the need to ship injection-moulded products around the world - a claim that would make more sense if it wouldn't remain necessary to ship rolls of welder's plastic around the world instead...

... in my opinion, at least, warrants a thoughtful rebuttal.

I agree, it was a very good summary of RepRap with a very balanced perspective. (It didn't say that it was going to solve the world food shortage in 36 hours, or that it's rubbish and pointless because it can't make all of it's parts) smiling smiley

And some good seemingly tongue in cheek constructive criticisms.
