Converting Art of Illusion Files to Blueprints

Hello,

I am looking at the aoi files and attempting to make sense of them. Is there a way to convert these to some sort of blueprint format where there are dimensions listed?

Thanks,

Brian

I've been making a wooden mendel, and have converted a number of parts to 2d scale projections for printing on A4. see [wooden-mendel.blogspot.com]

I have used parts of the blender precision modelling tutorial on rab3d.com to achieve this with the STL files in reprap subversion.

Blender has a number of useful tools in edit mode, such as edge length and angle which can give you many of the dimensions you need, however I find it easier to print out my projections, cut out each shape, glue and use as a direct cutting guide. Sometimes I measure on the print-out: everything seems to be on a 0.5mm grid so no precision problems with hand measuring.

Thanks! I'll try using blender.
