ReplicatorG with stepper and Extruder V2.2

Hi,

did anybody ever run a stepper extruder directly attached to the extruder controller V2.2 with replicatorG?
The makerbot-way of doing that is using an external stepper controller.
Is there a way to set up replicatorG to use the onboard H-bridges?

`can you still upload the old firmwares? because originally the makerbot extruder was controlled this way. Not heaps up to date with replicatorG but i remember they used to retain old firmwares, or maybe you need to be looking in the machine.xml or look for old copies of the machine.xml... i'm not really sure sorry

I suggest you give up using H-bridges unless your electronics and programming background is strong.

The extra money you pay for the fourth stepper controller is cheaper than the extra time and headaches that one will usually go through.
