Charging the printbed

I am thinking about charging the heatbed electrostatically.

I expect the adhesion of ABS to increase in that case as it would be an additional force attracting the hot ABS before it gets rigid.

My HBP develops a charge on its own when printing with ABS. Quite a bit actually. The HBP consists of MK1, Pyrex Glass Sheet.

... in comparison with the applied forces a vacuum-table will be much more effective.

I have an electrostatic table from an old XY-writer/-plotter with 2kV charging of a graphite comb-structure under some microns of isolation - the force is enough to hold a sheet of paper flat, so the pen can write ... but i can peel the paper off without any remarkable strength.

So not very usefull for holding down warping plastics ...
