So i'll finish the wiring on the pursra tomorrow. Whats the next step? Do i need to worry about firmware, or just find some sort of software and ... i dunno print?

Anything you've got would be great, i've got 16hrs of time i can read before i get back to the shop.

you will need to think about the firmware soon, but you need to make sure you have your mechanics setup right and square. then level your bed.

i use the sprinter firmware, have you looked into that yet.?

i also recommend slic3r

What a fan-freakin-tastic set of calibration guides! I can hardly wait to get back into the shop.

Thanks guys!

p.s. I spent a bit of time at iStar trying to figure out how to apply that to 3d printing. I was thinking however a 3d printed telescope tube could make some awesome baffles!

lol.
If you search 'telescope' on thingaverse.com you'll find
quite a bit of telescope stuff on there. So it's growing.
I do plan on print scope stuff on my future printer.

Looks good! Just a recommendation, when I had the circuit board there it limited my z-height significantly. I moved it. Not sure where it's best, but I now have twice the height.
