ATX PSU screw type?

Does anybody know what type of screw fits an ATX PSU? They seem to be 3.3mm diameter with a pitch of 0.8mm. What type of screw is that?

I'd guess it's a 6-32, that's what I use on my PSU.

Nudel beat me to the punch...

Which screw? The ones to mount the PSU to a PC chassis? I think they're 6-32's.

Thanks. I need some longer than usual to go through a plastic bracket but being non-metric means they will be about 20 times more expensive.

Yeah, I have the same problem getting M3x10 here
6-32x1" = .10
M3x10 = 1.79

Go figure

$

to be fair you can get half decent prices on metric hardware if you order in 100's from places like bolt depot (though shipping kills you if you don't order enough), but trying to buy 1 locally is either impossible (I can't buy anything under M5 locally), or stupidly expensive.

Both ACE hardware and Gill-Roys by me carry down to 3mm, but you pay for it. Good luck at any of the 3 national chains - Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards - They dont carry crap for metric.
I seem to be getting good at this thread hijacking stuff...Sorry

M3x10 cap screw is £0.013 for 1-100 in the UK.
6-32-1/2" £0.12

So I was wrong, only 10 times more expensive than metric but only 1.8 times what you can get them for.

Just out of curiosity, where does everyone get their ATX PSU with screw terminals?

The screws they are talking about are the chassis screws. ATX PSU's don't come with screw terminals.
