Hi everybody,

I have a 3D printer with an extruder motor MK6 stepstruder and i want to try to print parts with 1,75mm PLA, do you have advices for me ??
I have already tried with 3 mm PLA with a bed at 60 degrees and 195degrees for the extruder and with a fun close to the extruder and it wasn't too bad.

Thks in advance

Well the extruder will have to be calibrated to twice as much.

195? What type are you using? I have 4043D and extrude at 188.

Quoted form the wiki:

"Heater Settings

Depending on which material you use, you should adjust your heat accordingly.
4032D requires higher temperatures and may need to be set as high as 230°C
4042D should extrude at 190°C
4043D 160-220°C around 180 is a good start (see [ultimachine.com])"

Thks, I have 4043D too, but i started with 180°C as I sow on wiki but the plastic was to cold maybe because of the fun. Then I have increased the temp until a good printing and it was at 195°C .
Maybe for the 1.75mm i will need a lower temp.

I print 1.75 PLA at 165 to 175C. Just start printing and cut the temp off, watch and see what the temp is when it starts to jam or not print smoothly, then go up about 15c or so from there. What the temp sensor says the temp is could be off a little.
