Smaller dia all thread for Z axis

Anyone tried using smaller diameter screws on Z axis to aleviate Z wobble? I know i read a thread about this topic a long time ago but i cant find anything. I would think smaller screws would flex more and put less stress on the X ends and Z rods if things arent 100% exactly in line. Im tired of fighting with it and looking for an easy solution.

Yes, that can help--but only if you don't constrain the ends of your Z-screws. There are a ton of things that can cause Z-artifacts and wobbling in addition to that, though; I'd suggest checking out the section on that subject in the first issue of the RepRap magazine: [reprapmagazine.com]
