Hi

I have the .AD_PRT files for the laser cut parts.

Unfortunatly both of my local laser cutting companies only work with .dxf or .dwg format.

AD_PRT files only work with Alibre Design, now known as Geomagic Design software does anyone have any ideas please.

If you are using Alibre then you can export to .STL which they should be able to use.

I don't have Alibre I only have the Alibre specific AD_PRT files.

I have searched for a couple of days now I'm totally stuck.

None of the professional laser cut companies will work with this format.

What is needed is somebody (please) with Alibre to convert the files as you suggested.

Have you tried the free trial software at www.alibre.com? If they haven't dumbed it down you could use it to save your file in the proper format. If that does not work I can do the transformation for you, I have Alibre Pro.

I will try the free download route first, may take me a couple of days as I'm working away.

Why didn't you look at the MendelMax official website?

The latest blog post is about the release of source files, and that includes DXF files.

Unless you're willing to download each DXF manually, you'll have to download the whole repository in zip format from here [github.com] (17.8MB compressed, 118MB decompressed)

You know sometimes you dont see what is right in front of your eyes!

I must have browsed through the MendelMax site to many times and missed this section.

Thanks for the heads up saved me a lot of work.

LOL, no problem.

I downloaded the whole archive from Github yesterday, but I just now read the "README.md" file. It says that for the most up-to-date files, we should browse Maxbot's dropbox accout shares.

But the modified date on those files is the same as for the Github repo.
