Hey guys,
Im looking to purchase 0.9 degree Nema17 stepping motors for my 3D printer and it says the power needed to use the motor is 3.06V, 1.7A, 1.8 resistance and 4.0 inductance.(http://img.alibaba.com/img/pb/060/980/745/745980060_313.jpg)
I was wondering if you are able to use those kind of stepping motors on ramps 1.4?

I think I’ve been answering some of your questions. This one is a common question I think referenced on the reprap stepper motor page located here:

[reprap.org]

The current seems high for these motors. I would look at motor styles listed as compatible.
The list is here:

if by chance that motor is listed, then it is compatible.

Many types and styles are even sold online thru ebay and alibaba. Mainly you are looking for holding torque.
