Color codes for stepper motors

Hey guys,

Im trying to connect my stepper motors to my ramps 1.4 board which got these colors of wires => Red, Yellow, Grey and Green.
On my Ramps 1.4, I have to connect those wires to Red, Blue, Green and Black
Im confused here, what should I connect my Red, Yellow, Grey and Green to?

Perhaps red to red, green to green, grey to black and yellow to blue?

Do you guys know anything about what i should do?

I dont want to harm my board and my stepper motors,

Please help a brother out.

1) throw away all guides that use colors. All stepper motors use different colors. There is no standard.

2) Find out which wires make up one coil. Use a multimeter and find out which wires are connected together.

3) Connect 1 coil to pins 2a and 2b, connect the second coil to 1a and 1b

4) if motor turns the wrong way, you can either swap the coils over (ie turn the plug around 180 degrees) or invert direction in firmware.
