I would like to see a thread to share whatever techniques have been discovered to enhance the appearance of parts. For instance, can PLA and ABS be sanded? Polished? Waxed?
What makes a good filler for holes or gaps?
What kinds of paint or clear coat helps protect the part (like moisture from PLA) as well as make it look better?
If you have a technique that has worked for you, please share it. Come to think of it, if you know something that does not work, that would be helpful, too. Pictures!
