I spent too much time with OpenSCAD last night so i woke up with the image of something i built in a dream.
It was a moving extruder heads under an effector. With the heads as metal or aluminium gears, you could move them around to choose the right head size for a given time. The gears could be for example, the planets of a planetary gear set for example. This way, you could have multiple head size along with multiple colors. I'm not sure how you heat the thing up, but i guess the outer gear would be the right choice since its the only one that doesn't move.
Anyway, i'm not sure if this idea has value or not but i just wanted it on a public forum in case it does.
