Dear Reprappers,

I would like to warmly invite you to participate in the (anonymous) online survey on User Innovation/Maker Movement, which builds a part of my PhD-research project in the field of patent law.
If you are interested in the results analysis, you can provide your email address at the end of the survey and I will mail it to you in due course.

The project aims at designing a legal tool - a patent window - for User Innovators to expand the free space of innovating.

To expand the free space you need to know what defines the negative space.
You might find this useful.

Note: I think that MIT patents can be distributed between Stratasys and 3d Systems.
This muddles the logarithmic curve, and identifies the patent trolls.

Give MIT a call and ask them for a list of who they are licencing their 3d patents too.

I would also give Dr. Joshua M. Pearce at Michigan Tech a call to get a better idea of what free space is available to innovate in.

This report categorizes and graphically analyzes research trends around 3D printing and the processes
involved and its applications from various perspectives and highlights the key companies involved.
