Printed Drag Knife - inspiration video

Hello folks,
I desided to make drag knife by using 3D printer with ABS material and common metal parts.

You need any flat CNC. I built CNC by myself, it is combination common alluminum profiles, particle boards and printed ABS parts.
For running G-code I used Arduino with Sprinter. As the software for generation g-code I use Simply Cam 2,
you can import your data from vector programs like Corel, Illustrator...

Let it is an inspiration for you to make one.

I just checked that video out and left a comment there as well but really nice work. I'm still in the process of acquiring a 3-D printer (damn you DIYtechshop!) but seeing stuff like that makes it even worse because you're clearly demonstrating some of the amazing potential of these systems. I build, paint, and race motorcycles and having a head that I could use to cut vinyl decals would save me a hundred per bike at least. Good stuff. smiling smiley

Neybordave, yeah it is like playing with machines, for vinyl decals it is better to invest money into some cutting plotter.
