Source for transistor 30a switching power supply

OK, I messed up and blew up this transistor in my 30a 12v switching supply. I normally have no trouble finding replacement parts but this one alludes me.

The part is marked as MX (possible manufacture?) 209 (not sure what this is) D13009K (actual part number).

I think this is the only problem with the supply and would like to be able to fix it myself.

If you have any idea (preferably in the U.S.) where I can get this or compatible number I would appreciate it.

Never mind I think I found it by just searching for 13009 and I found a Fairchild on Mouser that I believe is the same and $1.35 ea. so i ordered a few.

Just for info.. most of the times if a transistor har imprinted Dxxx, Axxx or Kxxx, the part number should just be prefixed with 2S, so in your case it would be 2SD13009K.

There is probably some more letters that has escaped my memory..

if the part is this: 3DD13009K (3DD13009K-O-C-N-B )

PC(TO-220C) 100W

after looking at data sheet i compared parts in usa.
this part seems close FJP13009

the data sheet is included with this one as well. part can be purchased from digikey. [www.digikey.com] for 0.92

Ok.. I stand corrected..

But in the old days, of CRT screens the "2S" rule almost always applied..

What I ordered was FJA13009TU

Sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I had exactly the same issue this weekend. Did the FJA13009TU solve your problem?
