Anyone ever try slipcasting?

Hey,

while cleaning up my room to make more printer space I found buckets of clay. So I was wondering if someone tried slip casting before? Slip is watered down clay that you can pour. Once it hardens into a plaster mold you can pour out the rest. A printed positive -> cast into plaster/gipsum negative, filled with slip could be interesting. Any ideas?

I use to slip cast maybe 25 years ago just as a hobby. Pretty much anything you can make a plaster cast on can be slip cast as long as there are no undercuts. Of course you can also make silicone molds and cast many other materials and undercuts are not as critical.

True, i have "lost print casting" on my list as well, but i recently got a good amount of clay, so my idea was to create a negative for the molds including the positioning taps and that would of course save time if someone already done that.
