What's the best product for embedding a thermister in a heatbed?

I use CPU heatsink paste (the white silicone based stuff), but avoid the gold/silver containing products as they will potential alter the resistance across the legs of the thermistor.

Thanks for the reply. I went with Artic Silver adhesive compound, it's high temp, non conductive and is ceramic based. Jerry

Provided its not actually got silver in it you should be okay, simple test though, measure resistance on your thermistor at room temp. Apply paste, measure again (make sure its not warmed up in your hand). Should be the same resistance with/without paste. If its not then the paste is electrically conductive, i..e. no good.
