TFT28 Display on RAMPS 1.4 AUX-3 possible?

My ramps board only has terminals soldered on for where my old smart controller was installed. I think the TFT28 display is supposed to be installed on AUX1 or 2 but I have no terminals on either of those. Can I change something in Marlin to make AUX-3 usable for this display? I sure hope so lol

The TFT28 uses D0 and D1 (also known as TX0 and RX0) this is how it sends commands from the TFT28 (its really a small computer) to the ramps


you could potentially use aux4, d16 and d17 are another com port, and you could change marlin from #define SERIAL_PORT 0 to #define SERIAL_PORT 2


but soldering some pins on is going to be a lot simpler!

Thanks for answering my question. This machine (Robo R1+) came with a board that isn't exactly the same as THIS one.

It looks like aux 2 is completely missing but I could use aux 1 if the placement stays true to the diagram in the link.
Is there anything in the firmware I would need to change to make it work on aux 2?
