Hello,

I need to make a heated bed that is 2 feet by 4 feet in size. Anyone have any ideas on how I would make this? I was thinking a 1/2 plate of steel with 5,000+ watts of heat. Is there a better way? Thanks

steel table would wieght about .2836 x L x W per inch so
.2836*24*48*1/2 for half inch thick.

163 LBS!!! you might want to try something else!
aluminum is 0.098lbs per square inch

0.098*48*24*0.5= 56lbs

perhaps something else???
