Can someone recognise my extruder ?
October 16, 2013 09:25AM
Hi folks,

my raprap printer is secondhand Prusa i3 with no documentation nor support from seller. I need to detect my extruder version to get STL files and print spare parts for any accident.

There is a picture of my extruder :

Can someone detect which version of extruder is ? Thanks in advance

Petr

It is called i3ext, by sgraber. You can find STL files for J-Head in thingiverse: [www.thingiverse.com]

Newest version from here: [github.com]

I recommend to get sources from GitHub and then configure & compile the extruder files yourself. That way you can control the mount geometry (which hot end) and filament diameter, for example.

One thing iv never worked out in the latest git hub is why the small gear changed it mount diameter to 6.3mm?

Wouldn't that just make it loose on the motor or uneven if you tighten it up with an m3 bolt.

Nut sure but i think the large gear m5 nut hold is also too large?
