Plastic recycling - filament extrusion machine survey

Hi all

As part of my final year at University I am undertaking a project to produce a machine that can take your waste filament or failed prints and turn it into new filament. The machine would crush, heat, extrude and reel the material.

You may have seen machines like this on the market already, but I have a few ideas and plans on how to make them better for the customer.

I'm in need of your help, I am running a short survey to get some feedback on the idea to back up my thoughts.

I would up the pricing. With those features I'm guessing that under GBP300 isn't viable. Its good to see something happening on this side of the pond regarding filament extruders!

To be honest, i think for most users, the volume is too small to own a recycling machine. I think hackerspaces might be a good place to have them. I'd basically donate the stuff, most of it should be fairly pure already..(But i basically have little idea how good the scraps need to be in order to yield good filament)
