Hi everyone.
I've just started looking at the reprap and I must say I am excited.

Before I start are there any tips etc anyone is willing to give. In particular anyone from Perth that has suggestions on where the best place to get parts etc is. Or if anyone wants to volunteer to make any parts for a reasonable payment.


PS Sorry about the duplicate post, I posted in the Perth forum but as it seems a little quite over there I thought I'd repost here as a more general hello.

Actually maybe I should introduce myself properly as I'm hoping to get quite active with the reprap concept.

I'm a professional computer programmer with over 20 years experience in Pascal, Delphi, VB, asp.net, some C & C++, WEB, Assembler and embedded micro (PIC) programming. I also have qualifications (but little experience) in electrical engineering.

I am also in to “out there” concepts and DIY. My last (and still unfinished) project is an Electric car (www.evaustralia.com.au). In fact I'm hoping to use the reprap on the Electric car.
